Try it

You plan the passage. And the Plan B.

Draw the route yourself and decide beforehand when you turn off and where to. On board you have both on phone and plotter.

Passage planning from A to Z

An example in Dalmatia, from the first idea to looking back.

  1. Research

Describe what you are looking for.

In whole sentences, as you would ask a sailor on the pontoon. You get several suggestions on the chart and go through them at your own pace.

  2. Harbours

Read what you need to know about the harbour.

Where guests berth, what it costs, what to watch for when entering, and where you can go if things turn out differently.

  3. Route

Draw your route and where you turn off.

We do not work out a route for you. You set the waypoints, decide when you turn off, and the planner works out time, distance and course.

  4. Crew

Show the crew what lies ahead.

Everyone knows beforehand where you are going, how long it takes and what applies when the wind picks up. You share the plan as a PDF.

Wind southeast 6 Bft

Plan B: from southeast 6, not across to Vis but to Stari Grad.

You set it beforehand, at your own pace. Under way, your phone tells you when it is time.

Plan B SplitVisStari Grad
Under way in the cockpit

On board on phone and iPad

Your plan, the next waypoint and the logbook are at hand, in the cockpit as at the chart table.

Felix at the plotter

Works with your plotter

You load the route onto the plotter as a GPX file, for example by memory card. The main route and each alternative arrive as routes of their own. Nothing changes on your plotter.

Research, planning, navigation and logbook. All in one tool.

By sailors, for sailors

We have been sailing together for a few years, by now on our second boat. Mostly on the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea, and once to Norway and back, with many night passages and legs of more than 24 hours. We took RYA courses, first aid and harbour manoeuvre training together.
